Fast-sinking, heavy, braided hooklinks are favorites of many big fish anglers "in the know" because they settle naturally on the lake or river bottom.
By combining this with an excellent camouflage color, we have created a very special hooklink that has proven to be hugely successful during development and hugely popular with some of our field testers.

Lying flat

It is super strong, using ultra-reliable Dyneema for fine diameter and superior knot strength, with a smooth finish and a soft, supple feel. This flexibility not only ensures unrestricted bait movement at the critical moment when the carp takes the hook bait in its mouth, but also helps it lay neatly, out of the way where it is less likely to be spotted by one of these hard-to-catch, wary fish.

Trickster Heavy excels as an alternative to the skinned hooklinks that carp see very regularly on the lake bottom, and comes into its own when used for sturdy PVA bags, presenting a critically balanced bait over light weeds, or for super subtle bottom bait presentations.

Top Tip - try a short Trickster Heavy hooklink when fishing with particles, as you can go short without affecting the movement of the hookbait.
