Summer gas

Efficient and environmentally friendly, that's how Primus calls the new Summer Gas that was recently introduced. This is a gas mixture specially optimized for summer temperatures.

This blend of propane and butane is more efficient to use so you can cook with it longer in the warm season. This is of particular interest to lightweight campers who do not want to lug around an unlimited amount of gas cans.

Most gas mixtures become too potent at temperatures of 15° C or higher, resulting in higher than necessary gas consumption. The blend that manufacturers have marketed to date has been more or less suitable for all temperatures. Suitable in this case already means that at least the burner is doing it. But for low temperatures, you need a mix with a lower boiling point because it evaporates faster. At higher temperatures the relationship is different again, then it is better if the gas mixture has a higher boiling point.

So the latter is the case with Primus Summer Gas, which has the highest possible efficiency under summer conditions. Not only do you have to carry fewer cartridges but it is also more economical and environmentally friendly. By the way, the production of all cartridges and the gas is fully CO2 compensated.
