Immitation maggots

Super soft floating Immitation maggots in two sizes for use on hook or hair rig. Ideal when a slow-sinking hookbait is needed, e.g. when the fish are on the drop. Can be used alone or in combination with real maggots to produce a popped up or critically balanced bait.

 

When fishing over bottom debris or weed, a surfaced or critically balanced hookbait can be obtained by using an appropriately sized hook. Also useful when small fish are a pest and constantly snatch real maggots off the hook. Our iImmitation maggots work best when used together with real maggots, either as loose feed or in PVA bags.

 

Insert the hook and slide it around the bend to a position that leaves the hook bend free to take real maggots, and does not interfere with hook penetration.

 

Note: It may take more than one imitation maggot to obtain a popped presentation.

Resists the attention of nuisance species including crayfish.
