Hydro tuff

HydroTuff is designed for the most demanding angling situations, where you need the strongest, most robust and highly reliable line to put on your reels.
Recently we applied a larger coil and improved the packaging! This was primarily to ensure that the best method of spooling this line is now the same as the rest of Gardner Tackle main line range. Don't worry, it's still the same wonderful line as before! The most amazing robust copolymer available .

No other high abrasion line offers the same superior performance for casting. It is fast sinking, offers great feel, exceptional knot strength and excellent reliability. It's one of those lines that just gets better and better - and this translates into very long life on your reels.

In the higher diameters it is rock solid and a favorite of river and canal carp anglers, both in the UK and continental Europe.

All our main lines are rated with a wide margin in terms of the indicated breaking strength, taking into account the knot strength when using a well knotted grinner or Palomar. So realistically, the 0.35mm breaks at about 18lb; the 0.38mm at 22lb and the 0.40mm version at 24lb!

Many other high abrasion lines have an opaque base that makes them stand out in the water, but Low-Viz Green HydroTuff's unique copolymer blend maintains the transparency of the base making it hard to see. Even when fishing tight (mid-water).

HydroTuff has a really nice steely finish thanks to its controlled elongation. This ensures that it has a crisp and ultra responsive feel when ejected, and helps the lead feel down 'on the drop'.
