Point Dr. 2

The Gardner Point Doctor 2 has an increased abrasive content and a slightly stiffer rubber compound.

The Gardner Point Doctors are easy to use hook sharpeners that are perfect for keeping and making your hook points sharp. Like the original Point Dr, the Point Doctor 2 is easy to use and perfect for keeping your hooks sharp.

A sharper point will sting, hook and penetrate faster and deeper and this will inevitably mean you hook and land more fish! The Point Dr.2's unique abrasive rubber composition (red) is still forgiving enough that you can easily avoid putting too much pressure on the tip, flipping it over and ruining the hook. Because of its firmer texture and higher abrasion, it is faster to use and better able to get some more material off the hook in a quick and precise way. It is still easy to use because each stroke of the Point Doctor 2 removes a layer of the hook's surface or coated finish to enhance and polish the hook point.

Point Dr's are not for completely reworking hook points - but are perfect for improving points that are "almost" sticky sharp.

*Tip - If one of the edges of your Point Doctor becomes grooved or clogged, it's just a matter of carefully cutting a few millimeters off that surface and that fresh sanding surface will be as good as new!
