Covert Dark chod hooks

Is the new Covert Dark Chod hook the ultimate chod and hinged rig rig hook? Well if they weren't before the Covert Dark treatment they certainly are now!

Why? We have implemented completely re-profiled hook points; making them longer, with an amazingly refined taper and even sharper than ever before. Realistically, this one change by itself takes the Chod pattern to a whole new level, but that's not all we've done....

We replaced the protective plate with a single layer of matte black galvanized black finish that ensures the hook points stay amazingly sharp. Finally, we have incorporated microbarbs on all of our patterns so that they can now be used in a wider range of commercial fisheries. This also has the advantage of maintaining the strength of the hook, as the microbarb reduces the amount of wire cut to make the barb. Chod Hooks need to be strong to stand up to big, hard fighting carp and that's exactly what they are!

The pattern has a wide gape, an unreversed curve, and a medium-length shaft, with a 15-degree outward-turned eye that allows materials such as tripwire and fluorocarbons to exit the inside of the eye at the optimal angle (does not close the gape).

The medium-length shank and long tapered tip are turned slightly toward each other, which is a crucial feature because it provides the strongest hookhold possible, as this promotes penetration, and a firm hookhold inevitably means landing more fish that are hooked.
