Fused loop leaders

These fast-sinking, semi-transparent fused loop leaders are designed to blend in with the aquatic environment, improving the camouflage of your setup and also providing an increased level of wear/resistance to your endtackle.

The strong Fluorocarbon core of the fused barrel ensures that they provide a robust buffer against submerged obstacles, such as gravel bars and obstructions. The Fluorocarbon core also ensures that the leader sinks quickly and lies flat.

To straighten the Covert Fused Loop Leader (recommended for use), simply remove it from the package and pull it under constant tension. The leader will now be straight and smooth, which will help reduce knots and ensure optimal performance and presentation.

The heavy 30lb Fluorocarbon core leader provides great strength.
Available in 3 colors - Weedy Green, Natural Silt and Clear.
Each leader is 1m long and comes with a size 8 Kwik Lok Swivel, making them ideal for use as the base for a lead clip setup.
We recommend attaching these Covert Fused Loop leaders to your main line using a loop to loop connection. For monofilament main lines, use the figure 8 Loop Knot. For braided lines, use a Bimini Twist Loop or a Figure 8 loop knot with an additional knot to improve the performance of the knot.

*If you want to use the Covert Fused Loop Leaders for Helicopter rigs, simply cut off the Kwik-Lok swivel and return to a bare leader. Then you can make a safe helicopter lead setup using your normal special parts. Make sure the hooklink can still separate from the leader by using Covert Safety Beads, which have a tapered bore and go over the fused loop end.
