Covert Tungsten Hinge beads

These weighted Gardner Covert Tungsten Hinge Beads are designed for use with size 12 QC or XT swivels, where they can enhance countless combinations, and balance perfectly.
The internal cut allows the Chod Beads to sit neatly over the top half of the swivel, keeping everything nice and taut, without impeding the essential rotational movement needed for optimal rig efficiency. These new Gardner Hinge beads are ideal for use with all varieties of hinged rigs, quick change chod rigs or even as a tweaked Ronnie Rig.

There are 2 variants available, the Standard which is perfect for use with smaller hook baits, and the Heavy which lends itself perfectly to larger hook baits, or hook baits with a high buoyancy. Both variants work best with hooks between hook size 8 and 4

* Remember that it is vital that chods and hinge rigs, with pop-up hookbaits, have enough buoyancy to keep the hook part upright for the entire time they are in the water, as poor pop-ups can lead to hook pulls on this type of rig .

Of course, you can also use it on a long-shank Ronnie or Ronnie setup. By using it on a QC-style swivel, the hook gets that extra bit of free movement, a little more like a 360 rig.

The beads are easy to use. Simply slide on the hook part and then loop the hook part onto your swivel and slide the bead down, securing the bottom line and balancing the hook bait. To fine-tune the sink rate of your presentation, you can trim the bead down or add a little Tungsten putty until it sinks "just right.

This system also makes changing hooks quick and easy.
